Nagual

Mauro Annunziato, '96-'97.

This collection is composed by low resolution (768x512) images inspired to the myth of Nagual referring to the toltec tradition of the ancient Mexico described by Carlos Castaneda in his books from '68 to '95.

The unknown and uncontrollable part of us, with its powerful perceptive and creative capacities, is well represented by Nagual myth. In this way, the perception of the man is seen as the result of the organization of luminous filaments converging together in an assemblage point. The position and configuration of the assemblage point and filaments determines the potential of perception.

I choice this reference because I found that the Nagual myth is an evocative vision of the self-organization concept. The Nagual images are constituted by evolving filaments which organize themselves in patterns which try to reflect the emotional aptitude of the human mind in terms of dynamics and ideas - genesis.
